A short testimony
My name is T.J. Bostic. I am blessed to have a beautiful wife and 2 children. I have served in the U.S. Army for almost 9 years as an infantryman. I became a follower of Christ when I was 23 years old. Prior to that day, I lived my life how I wanted. I drank, smoked, slept around, you name it. I was certainly closer to a "chief sinner" than a saint. Things have changed drastically since when I first believed, but I hope you now know that this isn't a place for "perfect" people. It's for the sinners like me, who need help and need to hear about the man who took all that away.
A Bit of What to Expect

If following Jesus was easy, wouldn't everyone do it? Wouldn't the obvious choice be to follow Him and make your path right in to heaven? The problem is not that being a Christian is "hard." The issue arises when we are not willing to give up the things that we love about this world in order to truly be a disciple of Christ. Following Jesus is not as simple as many Americans have made it out to be. Being a Christian is about so much more than "going to heaven." It is about a life-long dedication to the man and God that takes away our sins.

I am living proof that Jesus can change your heart and your life. He can make you happy and satisfied. He is able to fill your heart with joy, compassion, love, and forgiveness. But you have to let Him do those things, and it certainly takes time, dedication, effort, and support from those who are strong in their faith. The apostle Paul says that, "We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves" (Rom 15:1, NASB). He also says to "accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgement on his opinions" (Rom 14:1, NASB).

Jesus came into this world to reconcile all people to God. That means that He came for you, for me, and for everyone else who breathes oxygen on this planet. We will explore all kinds of scripture that will hopefully lead you and me to a strong faith that is based on the words of the inspired text from God.

If you have a particular need, or would like to read about a particular area of scripture, I would  love to help you in that way. Simply submit your interest below, and I will post a blog about that issue. I pray that the God who saves all men who call on Him will guide you and me in this journey.
